The Crimean War, memorable for its brave cavalry charges/tactical oopsies, its interesting uniforms of France, Russia, Britain, and others, its bloody battles, its artillery-destroyed battlegrounds, and much more, was a part of the Russo-Turkish Wars, as well as the Ottoman Wars in Europe. Its belligerents were comprised of an alliance between the British Empire, French Empire, Ottoman Empire, and Kingdom of Sardinia, fighting against the nearly-just-as-numerous Russian Empire.

------------------------------------Regiment List
How to Reserve
To reserve a regiment to play as in TCW (does not have to be one of the included regiments in the mod), a regiment must already be existent, and active, in either NW or any NW mods. The requirements these regiments must fill are as follows:
- Must bring an average attendance of 10+ to trainings/events. 10 is the minimum.
- Must have no bad records within the community (I will be judging what makes a record bad).
- Must be willing to take up the responsibility of testers, and not players, during the closed testing stages. This means they will spot bugs, inform the developers about them, and be considerate that whenever the testing is occurring, it is exactly that: testing, not final gameplay.
[close]
The Job of Testers
The testing regiments are expected to be active and constructively critical. At the end of every testing battle, players are expected to inform the leader(s) of their regiment about any bugs, problems, concerns, etc. regarding the mod at the given time; and regiment leaders are expected to take that information, as well as their own report on bugs, problems, concerns, etc. that they have found, and send it to me via forum PM.
[close]
How and When will Testing Begin? How will it work?
Starting approx. the 30th of April, I will begin accepting the application form below (through forum PM). Twenty regiments will be selected, and starting approx. 7th of June, the official testing events will begin. These will be either weekly or biweekly. Ten regiments will be selected for the first event, the other ten for the next, and so on, to get maximum feedback from multiple sources. If a regiment does not attend one day, a different regiment will take its place. During these events, roles will be assigned (Line, Guard, Light, Cavalry, Artillery) as well as possible to suit the number of players each regiment brings. Every two weeks, non-active regiments will be removed, and new tester slots will open for other regiments to apply. Game rules will be given out when the event begins.

Q&A
Q: So how will this mod handle the music? Will the British and French eventually have a few new songs? What will you be using for the Russians?
A: Thanks for your question, it's a very good one! It's too early to say we can get any new bagpipe music for the 93rd (I know the bagpipes are on everyone's minds), and if we would be allowed to use the NW music at all will be up to Flying Squirrel Entertainment, Taleworlds, and Paradox, and I'd doubt they would take the time. Regarding new music, though, excluding the bagpipes for now, there will be new drum and flute songs and duets, by approximentaly mid-late closed beta.

Q: So sidearms and swords wise, will Officers be getting a choice of different pistols and swords? Maybe throw in the old Napoleonic stuff too for the old school type of Officer thing?
A: We're testing with a few things in that department, specifically for the handguns, because there was quite a bit of variety in pistols during this war. As far as swords go, not many differences, but pistols will have variety in damage, firing and reload rate, shots per reload, et cetera; they will have extensive balancing of course, but I'd hope for this to add variety in coherence to the changes in style of gamemodes and maps that I personally find will be the beef and bone of this game.

Q: Y I SO FAT? Y U NO HELP ME NOT FAT? I SO FAT! ERMEGERD! HELP ME, I FAT!
A: Though we would like to, it would be very difficult and surely impossible to include multiple skeletons. If we could, we would surely include the ability to modify players' body shapes in a certain degree.

Didn't the French start using rifles which reloaded 2-3 times faster than muskets right before Crimean war?
