[Army] Ejército de Castilla - Army of Castile
« on: January 05, 2015, 08:20:26 pm »

History

(English)
Dragged by people´s will, General Cuesta organized an army rapidly, since the French headquarters were located in Burgos. The news of the Valladolid people`s insurrection was received in the French headquarters, in Burgos, during the night of the 4th of June. The Marechal Bèssieres in face of the interruption of the French military supplies route and mail posts from France to Madrid, gave priority to defend the routes from the threat that loomed over them. Thus the military operations from generals Merle and Lasalle in La Montaña were diverted for the plateau´s theatre, unifying their forces in Dueñas the 11th  of June, ready to attack the enemy. The victory was achieved after the Torquemada combat and the later on entrance of the army in Palencia. General García de la Cuesta finally manages to gather a force of 4700 militants, 300 of regular cavalry and 4 pieces of artillery, that was later on called grandiosely: “Army of Castile”.

(English)
The King's Own Immemorial 1st Infantry Regiment of the Spanish Army is considered to be the oldest armed unit in the world. There is certain proof of this and according to what the chronicles mention, King Ferdinand III, "The Saint," in 1248, during the conquest of Seville, with some of his men-at-arms, assaulted and took a tower. Seemingly, with such boldness and bravery they gained the admiration of the King. The campaign finished and with the consequent disbandment of troops, King Ferdinand decided to permanently keep with him said force, giving origin to the permanence of the Armies, that is to say, the origin of itself.

Good Luck
Arminius/Dennis Bergkamp/Tristan Bouvier/J.P. ...

All my life I’ve been fearful of defeat. But now that it has come it’s not near as terrible as I’d expected. The sun still shines, water still tastes good…glory is all well and good but life is enough, nay?

Nice necro amigos
padawan should replace chicken as captain, he has every ability a true leader should possess, a good voice, skill, experience & dedication. Padawan has all of these things and the only reason he wasn't allowed into team spain was cause chicken was afraid of him since he truly knew how much of a danger padawan could be to his spot.
padawan is no padawan any longer, he is a MASTER now and i would be AFRAID to fight him with team NL since he can 1v10 us easily!
