The Battle
Having been founded in late October of 2012, the Thursday NA Public Line-Battle has been around for some time. This linebattle event will be hosted every Thursday at 8pm EST on Thundersnows_Events (Thanks to Thunder for letting me use the server. Bluefang sponsers us so please check them out!). The battle will consist of three maps where the team with the best 2 of 3 will win the game. This is to create a quick gameplay with short rounds, that way regiments involved will get more playtime with shorter rounds. In other words, less waiting and more fighting. Thursday is growing to a point of where we average 200 players a week. This means we are more likely to remove unruly groups.
This event is sponsored by Bluefang Solutions, use the promo code "THUNDERSNOW" to get 30% off your purchase HERE!
Regiment leaders will join the administration teamspeak (ts.22nd.eu). At 7:50pm EST the server info will be handed out to the regiment leaders present. After that time, no other regiments will be allowed into the event that night.
Please note: 1) If you have a problem during the event that needs my attention, contact me via steam and not in-game chat. It's hard to sift through the kill feeds to find every problem and it's easier to communicate this way.
2) Just because you applied as a certain role, it doesn't mean you will play as it. It only helps the admins know where we stand role-wise and who is capable as playing certain classes. You still have to apply for the roles.
3) I'm willing to help remove any trouble makers in a regiments ranks, please inform me over steam. As I do this, you must inform and uphold the rules as a whole.
Public Regiment (From 5arge)
To play as a public player enter the following teamspeak a few minutes before the battle : 74.91.116.171
The Public Regiment is a tradition dating back to the first NA Friday Night Line Battle hosted on February 4th, 2011. In order to fill the server, because there were not many NA based regiments at that time, they allowed all public players to attend. Instead of setting them free upon the battlefield however, then subjected them to a half hour of regimental line drill training courtesy of the 1stEPI's training manual (which was based off of Hardee's manual). Ever since, they have fielded a group of public players formed up as a regiment of their own every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Tuesday. Public players who have been to many battles and have shown proficiency following and giving orders have been assigned as trustworthy pubOfficers to the Public Regiment. When 5arge was not able to lead them, these men would take over.
Ruleset & General Guidelines
Please familiarize yourself with the event rules. Violators may be slain with no warning. A huge thanks to 5arge for providing me with his ruleset that have been tweaked to fit the battle. Special roles work very simply. Once someone applies for a role, they have it unless another group takes it before-hand. Special roles are for groups that have attended at least one battle!
EVENT GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS: PART 1
General Expectations:
-Officers and NCOs are responsible for enforcing the event rules within their ranks. Failure to do so will result in the entire regiment being punished.
-All regiments must agree that they understand and intend to follow the event rules before they are allowed to attend.
-Violation of any written event rule will result in an automatic slay. This is your warning.
-Postponing defeat will result in an automatic slay.
INFANTRY AND SKIRMISHERS GUIDELINES: PART 2
Guidelines for Infantry and Skirmishers:
-Skirmisher units may never exceed 15 armed soldiers (one officer and musician do not count toward this total unless they pickup a rifle/musket).
-Soldiers should only fire their muskets while in a properly spaced line formation (skirmishers must use a skirmish line).
-"One space" is the width of your avatar on screen

-Skirmishers (riflemen or light infantry) may crouch at any time, but Infantry may only crouch if they are out of combat, or in the front of a two rank line (even behind cover, earthworks, sandbags, etc.)
-If only 2 men remain in a line, they must immediately join a friendly line OR charge directly toward their enemy into melee
-Infantry Regiments must split lines when they reach the 25 man mark.
CAVALRY GUIDELINES: PART 3
Guidelines for Cavalry:

Questions?
The administration TS will be running 20 minutes before 8, so feel free to contact me via TS. The administration Teamspeak is ts.22nd.eu - Add me on steam (Menelaos16) or contact my other admin Sleek (sleekcrush).
I will notify those contacting myself (Menelaos), that I am typically talking to 2 to 3 people at once. Where I'm somewhat willing to help you need to check this topic before asking a question.
