The 53e Régiment d'infanterie is an active and friendly regiment offering events daily with the inclusion of our Voltigeur and Artillerie. The regiment takes part in events such as a sieges, linebattles and trainings, all which we expect members to attend as much as possible. The regiment is kept active by everyway possible. By doing so, our roster's can reflect our true numbers within events.
The regiment was founded in December 2012, and numbers have increased largely due to extensive recruiting, as well many changes have been implemented due to this rise. This includes an increase of discipline and accuracy. The regiment is not mainly strict, but order is key, and we expect members to follow what is said in the rules, as well as by officers. For cadets, you start within our 'Bootcamp' where you must attend at least two trainings and the weekly events, for us to decide for you to be a full enlisted member. After that, artillery is available, but for the moment all numbers are for the Voltigeurs until a solid number is withheld every event. As a regiment we excel in the use of firearms, as well tactics of how to deal with being under attack. Due to most members being green NW, melee is something we focus in trainings, and we encourage members to go on public melee servers to increase their melee skills and dedication. If you are not dedicated to regiments, in not being active or disciplined, the 53e will not suit your needs.
The regiment began in Strasbourg in 1658 during the Old Regime. It first saw action in the War of Devolution under young Louis XIV. In 1690 during the War of the League of Augsburg, it marched to the Lower Province aided by local militia to repel the besieging of Seyne, they lifted the siege without firing a shot.
From 1701 to 1763 they fought in various wars including the War of Spanish Sucession, Polish Succession, Austrian Sucession and the Seven Years War. During the Revolutionary War they were assigned to the Army of the North, one of the first armies of the Republic. From 1792 - 1799 they were engaged in various conflicts during the revolution, including the Battle of Peyrestortes against spanish troops in the Roussillon War, they were then assigned to various arms such as Sambre and Meuse, then in 1799 they were transferred to the Army of Helvetia and fought in the Battle of Zurich, which became a battle honour on the unit flag.
During the Napoleonic Wars they were assigned to the Army of Italy and fought in the Italian campaign during the Conquest of Tyrol. In 1805 they fought the Battle of Caldiero, crushing the Austrians and again at the Battle of Wagram. In 1812 they were re-assigned for the Invasion of Russia. They fought at the Battle of Borodino in which Moscow, mostly built of wood, was almost completely destroyed, giving them their second battle honour.

Thursday: Day Off
Friday: JSC Linebattle
Saturday: 15th Linebattle
Within the trainings and linebattles we hope to achieve
what an average soldier during the Napoleonic Wars was taught such as formations,
drills and above all, discipline. However NW being unreal we can teach the tricks of
the game such as feinting, blocking etc which are key to the game, all this without
having cold steel entering your flesh. We have an event five days a week, which are a mix
of linebattles, sieges and trainings.
All events are at 7 GMT (2 EST)!
