Who are the 82e?
The 82e Régiment d'infantrie de Ligne is a European based regiment (We do accept North-American recruits as well), we are a fairly disciplined regiment but of course fun is still to be had, and have the goal of becoming one of the best but also casual regiments around! We are a friendly regiment with a fair number of experienced officers who are always recruiting! If you think this is the regiment for you?

One thing we do like to make clear here in the 82e is we are not just a regiment, we are a community, and have people in our TeamSpeak at one time playing other games, such as CS:GO or other mods like PW which we play outside of event times.

The 82e Regiment d'infanterie de ligne, formally known as the " Saintonge Regiment" was raised in the year 1684 in the province of Saintonge, France. From 1763 to 1768 the regiment served in the West indies and French Guiana. In 1780 the regiment was sent with Jean-Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, comte de Rochambeau to help the United States during the American Revolutionary War. The regiment took part in the Siege of Yorktown in 1781. In 1782 the regiment returned to the West Indies and then back to France in 1783. Following the French Revolution the regiment became the 82e Regiment of Infantry.

Competitive EU Events/Tournaments / Dust's 5v5 Sword & Bayonet Tournament [Brackets Live] [6th May]

After over a year since the last tournament I hosted in this format the 5v5 Sword & Bayonet style tournament is back! During this tournament hosted by Dust there will be 16 teams of 8 players with 5 players fighting 5 (4 bayonets and 1 sword per team). The tournament will be in a knockout fashion meaning that if you lose you are out of the tournament for good. This tournament will bring both swordsmen and infantrymen alike together in order to try and take the top spot! Think you've got what it takes? Sign your team up now then!

The date for this tournament is; TBA (details of the servers will be given out on the day.)

1. Teams are to contain a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 8 players.
2. Teams must have five players in the arena to begin fighting and no more (unless you are willing to fight outnumbered), within these five players there should be 4 infantry and 1 officer.
3. No cavalry or grenadiers, only Line Infantry and Officers.
4. No shooting.
5. You must fight only with the weapon your class is designated. DO NOT pick up a sword mid round if you are a ranker or vice versa if you are an officer.
6. Melee speed will be set to "Medium".
7. Matches will be first to 5, the bronze match and finals will be first to 7.
8. There will be 16 Teams.
9. Combatants are not allowed to leave the arena till the fight is over.
10. Organisers will operate with common sense, if there is a unspecified issue that is not in the rules they will act at their own discretion.

After South Africa, the regiment returned to England as the Amiens peace was ending. Once back in England, the regiment began recruiting and eventually had enough men to bring the battalion up to full strength as well as for a reserve battalion. The 2nd Battalion of 81st was formally embodied on 15 October 1803 at Mills Bay Barracks under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Knight.

Under the initial plan, the 1st/81st would be for universal service while the 2nd/81st would be kept for home service in the British Isles. As such, in 1804, the 2nd/81st was stationed Ireland, initially at Kinsale, but later moving to Cork, Galway, and Dundalk.

In 1805, the 1st/81st was assigned to Lieutenant General Sir James Craig's expeditionary group. The 1st/81st participated in the invasion of Naples, but then retreated to Sicily once word of the Napoleon's victory at Ulm was received.

Still in Sicily in 1806, the 1st/81st was part of Major General Stuart's force that attacked the French in Calabria. On 4 July 1806, Stuart's force engaged the French at the Battle of Maida. After stopping the initial French advance with musket fire, the Stuart ordered forward the Colonel Acland's brigade (containing the 1st/81st). At bayonet point, the 81st and 78th drove off French Forty-second regiment, as well as two battalions of Polish infantry before pausing to fire into the now exposed flanks of the French forces. Among the spoils of the battle was a silver tortoise snuff box, taken as a trophy by the 81st and kept as a regimental trophy of the battle. For its actions, the 81st was granted the battle honour Maida and voted the thanks of Parliament.

Despite its victory at Maida, the 81st would soon withdraw to Sicily after Stuart's campaign failed to produce a general uprising against the French. The 1st/81st would remain on Sicily, participating in the unsuccessful relief of Colonel Lowe's forces at Capri, as well operations to prevent the French from taking Sicily until withdrawn in 1812

The 94th Regiment of Foot was a British Army line infantry regiment. Originally formed as the 'Scots Brigade' in 1568, for service in the Netherlands. The regiment was brought onto the British establishment, in October 1794, as the 'Scotch Brigade', renumbered as the 94th Regiment of Foot in December 1802 and disbanded in December 1818. The regiment was reformed in December 1823 and served until 1881 when it was merged with the 88th Regiment of Foot to form the Connaught Rangers

Yeyeyeyeye as you clever clogs have guessed I have returned many people been asking me since I returned to Steam yesterday after being offline for 124 days (4 months ish) "Why did you leave?" and I wasn't going to say the reason but I have decided I now shall. 4 months ago the doctors diagnosed my grandad with pancreatic cancer and he had only 2-3 months to live I decided to spend his remaining days by his side instead of on Steam, then couple weeks ago my grandad passed away which really did upset me but now I'm back and playing Warband again a bit of everything really.

I have a brand new laptop which means I no longer lag in-game and can fight easier this means no more blaming the lag if I die

The 74th are a very prestigious regiment and in only a short time achieved many great accomplishes, such as having a great record in our 1v1's. We are a rapidly expanding regiment and welcome anyone with open arms regardless of skill. We also like to spice things up a bit in the regiment to show that we are not boring like attending native events and cavalry events even though we are a line regiment. We are friendly, fun and a large regiment and urge any new/old fighters to give us a try! We will treat you with respect and no one gets left out in our games so even the new people at melee get to try out the tense 1v1's and be part of the action. Not only do we play mount and blade we also have a small community who play a wider range of games such as CS:GO, ARK and any other game you want to play!

The 74th Was rasied in 1787 and their first colonel was Archibald Campbell. Their first battle was in India in the mysore campaign of 1789 fighting in the areas of Bangalore and seringapatam which was crucial battles of the mysore campaign, The regiment shifted around areas such as Ireland until 1818 then over to Canada until 1828 and also spent a year in bermuda for 1 year and then returned to Ireland again from 1830 to 1834 then in the 1840's to bermuda. The 74th Finally came back to the UK in 1845. Finally the Regiment Joined with the 71st to become the 2nd battalion as it's final journey

After a lot of hard work and dedication the 48th Regiment have created a 50 slot siege server which is full of a wide range of maps fit for different player sizes. So far in the duration of the server being up population has been nice and high with no problems or lag, the server is being hosted by Beyond Servers. Regiment History

The regiment was first raised in 1741 as James Cholmondeley's Regiment of Foot in Norwich, England during the War of Austrian Succession. The regiment first saw action at the Battles of Falkirk and Culloden in 1745-1746, campaigning against the Young Pretender. In 1748, it was renumbered as the 48th Regiment of Foot. The 48th took part in the French and Indian War and they received their first battle honour in the Americas at the Battle of Louisburg, although the Regiment did not receive their due honour for this until 1882. The 48th was part of General James Wolfe's capture of Quebec in 1759.

The 48th was present at the capture Martinique and Havana in the West Indies before returning to serve in Ireland in 1763.

In 1773, the 48th was stationed in the West Indies prior to the start of the American Revolution. They were later captured by the French during the war.

Suffering from loss of men in battle, captivity and disease, the 48th was repatriated back to England in 1780. The Regiment was relocated to Northampton District and then became known as the Northamptonshire Regiment.

Event Informations :

The event will take place every Friday
The event will start on 7:00pm GMT (Be on the server at 6:50 GMT)

The password will be posted in the description of our Teamspeak channel event (Teamspeak IP given once being Accepted VIA Steam)

Rules :

FiC is NOT allowed UNLESS your Rifles.
No reloading in charge.
No officer aim.
Charge at reasonable distance.
If you are 4 or less join another line , cavalry dismount and join a line.
No trolling.
No ramboing.
No insults.
Anyone wearing no tag will be kicked from the server.
The admins word is final.
