The fact that NW fighting look like anything else then men fighting and especially the spinning really threw me off when I was playing it back in the time, but what disliked even more was when it turned into unlimited blocking festival. Therefor I hope the blocking in this game will be harder and more punishing, making team play more important.

Seems a lot of people want to see the spinning do a comeback in this game, the fuck? There are other and better ways to make combat good instead of retarded spinning, people.

Spinning is retarded. It looks ridiculous and was never intended to be there.
How do you plan on tackling revolver damage? Will it be a one shot?

We will post a Developer Blog about Bullet Physics etc. later, but everything is calculate realistically. To balance them, we will provide longer reload times and less ammo for pistols. + Pistols are naturally less accurate and have a lower Muzzle velocity than a Rifle.

Yeh. I'd like to see pistols re-done in BCoF. In NW they were very inaccurate and barely did any damage -- they were virtually useless.

You are all judging gameplay before we have even seen any material on that, let alone even play.

Besides that, the game is set in the 1860s. Shooting is gonna be your main activity, a bayonet charge was not something done a lot in the ACW.

pls dont make shooting a RNG game...   :-[

As someone who has done his fair share of spinning, I'm glad it'll be gone. Same goes for feinting, the amount of feinting/spinning/dolphining etc in NW looks plain retarded and breaks immersion imo. Only reason I ever do it is because sometimes you have to if you really wanna be able to compete

Don't get me wrong, it's fun, I love NW melee but I still think it breaks immersion.

Personally I would like the melee to remain pretty much the same other than for the hit boxes to be fixed.

People complain about immersion, but I like my game to be competitive and not boring as I could imagine an "immersive" melee would be.
