It's good to see events happening. Thanks for keeping IE going.

I hate to say this but I have no time to spare for it recently. We still plan to release 2.0 but I can't make any promises on how long it will take.

Looking promising dude! Let me guess, the programming part of the mod is almost or totally done, now only the visual stuff like this models remains to be done?

Sorta the other way around. There's still lots to do on both but we're behind on coding. We have a new coder so that will hopefully change.

Here is a small sneak peak showing some minor equipment variations and officer uniform for the new faction.

I'm going to get a real update out soon showing much more UK stuff.  ;)

Development is still going on, just slowly. We will have something to show next week.

And their grenade fuse script.  :-\ I doubt they will let us use them though. I suppose we could try trading code or we could make some art for them.

The paragraph was addressing hardcorefreestyleboy because I thought some of your responses needed clarifying. I am in complete agreement that people shouldn't think the mod is unfinished, and basically everything else you said. I meant to add on to what you said. I didn't make that clear though and I apologize.

So the team was following the timeline, faction wise.
Nope.

Lolman, I don't think you fully understand his point about the lack of Britain.

@hardcorefreestyleboy
Apart from how ridiculous it is to feel that the mod is unfinished due to not every faction on the front being created, French and British troops fought on different parts of the Western Front as well so it is the exact same situation as the Eastern Front if Austria-Hungary was missing. Choosing the setting of the mod based on how easy it would be to make maps is, quite frankly, completely nonsensical. Cavalry is indeed something that we had to sacrifice for the setting but I disagree that it is an integral part of NW gameplay and cavalry alone is not enough to make up for the disadvantages of an Eastern Front mod. Starting the mod on the Eastern Front is a terrible idea. Most people who have any interest in WWI care more about the Western Front, and for good reason. It was the most important front of the war, the type of warfare there was unique to anything that preceded it,  and it saw the first combat use of many new and interesting military technologies. A WWI mod that doesn't contain trenches and the nations people most strongly associate with WWI simply wouldn't get as much attention.

Not sure if Betty or self-entitled brat who understands nothing about modding.  :-\

So any remote criticism on iron europe instantly means its betty?

I think what he means is that we are putting a lot of effort into the mod but have a very small team of only a few selected people. These people are also doing many other mods and games at the same time! I myself am making several maps for several games. It's often stressful to work on new features never tried by Warband mods before without the faith of the community behind you. I know that without people still playing this and hosting events I wouldn't have the passion to want to make these people more stuff so they can enjoy their events more.

Along with this your criticism may have been seen as an insult. This is because we are receiving many complaints that we need to work faster and when we reply to them that the mod is just not ready yet they insult us and often use harsh langue rather than constructive criticism. This is a problem we ran in with before the mod was out in this form. We felt pushed to drive the mod out but now we want to ignore this and bring it out when we feel it is ready for testing so we can fix any more bugs if there are any.

Also, as someone who can only gain and has absolutely nothing to lose from our unpaid work you have no right to tell us what info to release and when we release it. The fact that we announced an update months before we release it has no impact on your life whatsoever. This is especially true for you since you didn't even notice the video and image we released a week ago, which goes to show that you really don't care.
