I played this mod all of the time before but recently as of February this year I had to do a fresh re-installation of my Steam games. When I did this and downloaded the latest AZW it loaded and everything was fantastic. But after that I can no longer load the mod. You see, I get stuck on 'Loading Textures' and it never goes anywhere passed that, as if it has crashed, but the task manager says it is running properly. To get out I have to delete the task in the manager. To be able to play I have to completely uninstall AZW and re-install it to make it load. It is not just 'slow' (An example is N&S which can load quite slowly) I waited an entire 40 minutes and actually went to do other things and it still never loaded any further.
Please, does anyone have any reliable fixes I may try?

North & South: First Manassas / Loading problem (Recent)
« on: August 31, 2015, 10:22:00 pm »
Just yesterday I tried loading up N&S 1.0 and I was met with the loading bar stopping only a quarter from the end, it was almost done and all of a sudden, BAM it stops and hangs there, I had to close the Warband exe from task manager. I had the same problem this morning when i wished to play and record some gameplay but yet again I was met with the bar of despair. Any suggestions or fixes around? I wish to play the mod on the intended settings as I just recently got my new custom built gaming PC, and yes, everything is compatible with NW and Warband as I can play all the other mods including W&T with no problems on High to ultra settings smoothly :/

Off Topic / Your Opinion Of This Graphics Card Please!
« on: May 15, 2015, 03:17:41 am »
I am getting a new PC in 2016 or 2017 and even though it is a Gaming PC with great parts and components I want to buy a seperate graphics card after.
If you use this card: Zotac GeForce GTX 980 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E What do you think of it for Napoleonic Wars and the mods for NW?
I wish to play Directx9 (or higher depending) with all NW and Warband settings maxed out minus dead corpses, I don't use dead bodies and I never will so that is less strain on it.
What is your take on this card for Warband, NW and NW Mods if you use it?
The PC im getting:

Regiments / [NA] Canadian Regiment of Fencible Infantry [NA]
« on: March 24, 2015, 06:04:07 pm »

YOUR KING & COUNTRY WANT YOU!

The Canadian Regiment of Fencible Infantry saw service in Canada during the early 19th century.

The regiment was originally raised in Scotland amongst highlanders keen on emigrating to Canada in 1803-4. The unit was to see service only in British North America. However, misunderstandings regarding the terms of enlistment and rumours that the regiment would be sent to India caused the recruits to mutiny in Glasgow. In response, the men were all discharged in the fall of 1804. These events are chronicled in an episode of John Prebble's book Mutiny. Subsequently, the commissioned officers and non-commissioned officers were sent to re-raise the regiment in the Canadas.

The commissioned and non-commissioned officers were Scottish while the core of the regiment would be French and English-speaking Canadians. The Scottish roots of the regiment are evident in the regiment's coat of arms with a thistle. The regiment was created in Montreal in 1803, but did not begin recruitment until 1805.

By the start of the War of 1812, the regiment's strength was at 600 men

Historical Discussion / ♔Lest We Forget♔ 2014
« on: November 11, 2014, 11:36:07 am »
November 11th, Remembrance Day in Canada and the Commonwealth of Nations.
Here is a poem written by Canadian Army Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae about soldiers sacrifices.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Released Modifications / Wellingtons British Bugle Calls Mod
« on: October 20, 2014, 11:57:41 pm »
Here's a small minor mod I have just created in the spare time I recently had.
This mod replaces the original Bugle Calls with British Army bugle calls and a special replacement of 'British Boots' with a trumpet version of 'God Save the King' the anthem of the United Kingdom.

Assemble the Men - Now: Fall In
Extend Lines - Now: General Salute
Close Ranks - Now: Turn Out Under Arms
On Enemy - Now: Retreat (The End Of The Day Call)
Open Fire - Now: Tattoo

British Trumpet Song 'British Boots' Now: God Save the King

To install these calls download the RAR file I put as an attachment with this post. When it's downloaded open the RAR file and inside their will be a folder named Wellingtons British Bugle Mod, go in to it, the Bugle calls are there so highlight all the OGG files and drag and drop them onto your desktop temporarily. Go to your Napoleonic Wars Sound folder (On my PC it is: Windows (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/Common/MountBlade Warband/Modules/Napoleonic Wars/ Sound. Once you have the folder Sound opened drag the OGG bugle files from your desktop into the Sounds folder, now it's done and you can enjoy the new calls.

God Save the King!

104th New Brunswick Regiment of Foot! ENLIST TODAY!

Contact the nearest recruiting officer to you and enlist in His Britannic Majesty's 104th New Brunswick Regiment of Foot and fight for King and Country! KING GEORGE AND OLD ENGLAND FOREVER!

We are the 104th as you might have seen!
Here's our historical history:
Spoiler
Although established as Fencibles, the regiment volunteered for general service, and became the 104th Regiment of Foot (New Brunswick Regiment) in the British Army in 1810. Nevertheless they served in North America only. They made an epic winter march from Fredericton to Kingston in early 1813. Detachments from the regiment fought at the Battle of Sackett's Harbor and in the various campaigns on the Niagara peninsula. The flank companies suffered heavy casualties in a failed storming attempt during the Siege of Fort Erie. The unit was trained in light infantry tactics with the intention of being converted to light infantry and like light infantry they used bugles instead of drums to pass commands on the battlefield. There were many skilled axe-men and boatmen in the regiment. Their pre-war training also emphasized winter manoeuvers and amphibious operations. Disbanded in 1817. The unit's uniforms had buff facings.
