|Information| The 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards were formed on January 6th, 2018. Due to the new Napoleonic Wars update, Veteran Leaders have come together to form a new and old friendly community, bring back the fun of Linebattles. This regiment is fun and very strict we do keep discipline during our events. Our goal is to bring a family like atmosphere to our members, while competing against other friendly regiments. If you are looking for a relaxing and fun environment, The 3rdFG Regiment is the place for you. Long live the King. After serving with the King in the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, the regiment was dispersed, but was reformed after the Restoration of the Monarchy as the Scottish Regiment of Foot Guards in 1662. In 1686, the regiment was brought on to the establishment of the English Army and was renamed by Queen Anne as the Third Regiment of Foot Guards. The regiment took part in the wars of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th Coalitions against Napoleon, Emperor of France. The Regiment fought mostly in the Spanish theater of war, commanded by Sir Arthur Wellesley. The Regiment also participated in the Battle of Waterloo, playing a key role in the defence of Hougoumont, suffering over 1,000 casualties. After the war, the 3rd Foot Guards were deployed in Ireland, and in 1830, William IV ascended to the throne and christened the 3rd Foot Guards with the name they have today, the Scots Fusilier Guards.
