Spicy. Could do with him at Everton

Doubt he'll want to play in the Championship next season in all fairness
Hey at least we might win that league

Yeah relegation is like a landslide to the lower leagues. Once it’s started it doesn’t stop

Holy shit Evertoon got spanked by Atalanta.

This Europa League will be close. Teams like Arsenal, AC Milan, Olympique Lyonnais, SS Lazio, Nice (?), could probably all win it. It'll getinteresting from the quarter finals on.

Klaassen has looked utterly lost for Everton ever since he arrived; sure the team is in absolute shambles, but it really goes to show that even the best Eredivisie players are not guaranteed to do well in an upper-table PL team (or any quality foreign leagues for that matter). Safe to say that, after tonight's trashing at Goodison, Unsworth will not be staying on for much longer. Also, who would've thought that Borini would have his career revived like it has because of a loan to AC Milan (from Sunderland of all teams)? Out of all the purchases AC Milan made over the summer, the guy who everyone had pretty much written off has arguably been one of their better players. I don't think Arsenal will make it far in the Europa League, considering they're practically using it to give the youngsters and benchwarmers a bit of a run out every week. Once they'll face the tougher opponents in the knock-out stages they'll be out pretty quickly. If I had to put my money on who the finalists are going to be I'd say Villarreal, Lyon and maybe Bilbao.

Here's what Unsworth had to say about Everton's performance tonight, by the way:

Quote
"I asked the players to make it difficult for me to leave them out on Sunday and the majority have made it very easy for me." "We just can't concede the way we have done in the last 10 minutes, it's unacceptable and I'm really disappointed. The teams that we're playing against aren't having to work that hard. They're really poor defensive goals." "Those players who have been moaning for opportunities were given that tonight. We had paying Evertonians tonight and the manner we capitulated just isn't acceptable. I've learned a few things about a few players tonight. We're asking players to run harder, to work harder than they've been used to. Some can, and some can't"

AW is doing the same as Man U did last year, playing with the youngsters in the group phase and then he will use the A team in the knock out stages

Doubt it, considering the Europa League was Mourinho's trump card last season to still somehow make it to the Champions League because of their position in the league table. Arsenal still has a fair shot at a top 4 finish this season so I doubt Wenger will go guns blazing on the Europa League with his already quite limited squad in terms of ability.

If I were Wenger I'd probably tryhard the Europa League to be honest. The PL is not going to Arsenal this season, no way

Implying they'll let the rest of their season be determined by a relatively slim chance that they'll win the EL - a competition most clubs of that caliber look down upon. Top 4 is within their reach at the moment and is probably what the club/fans would expect them to go for. The result is the same either way, just without a trophy.
