Welcome to the Imperial Army Unique LineBattle Event

This LineBattle Event takes a different approach at the ways battles are fought in Napoleonic Wars. Our special maps are adding the imersion of tighter and more dynamic battles and therefore produce less camping and much more action. Since those maps will feature certain hotspots where the battle will be the most dynamic we can assure this event to be unique.

You may stumble across our special ruleset. We allow our artillery units to have a greater number of men and to bear more sappers. Next to more buildpoints we want to ensure that we play on special maps such as custom maps or you have probably played on the old NW_EU_Battle Servers. With help of our "Close Combat Rueles" this allows us to give you another Napoelonic Wars experience we Line Infantry counts more. You may find the lack of infantry units in any LineBattle less thrilling. With our ruleset they have more power because when they gather at certain barricades, storm houses or fortifications Fire in Charge is allowed. That means such hotspots get more important and they might be a key to victory. This means there are more targets for an artillery to aim for and it enables a new element of tactic. By now you might have found yourself interested to join this unique LineBattle Event to experience more dynamic and historically more accurate Battles.

Somtimes however certain rules are scrapped and new ones are added because we do not always play the game mode battle. Sometimes sieges or even conquests are taking place instead - all being fought out on custom maps. With the addition of very unique scripts there are unlimited ways in how to play an event. Even other modules are being played sometimes so we have even had native events in the past. Be thrilled for all our activities when you want to take place in these unique events.

The Event will take place every second week on Sunday at 19:00 GMT (20:00 CET)

Usual unit restrictions and specific rules

Line Infantry 8-30 Rules Always has to be in formation May only fire in formation Must not crouch (except for the first rank in double lines and when in cover) [close]

Cavalry 6-15 Rules Always has to be in formation Dragoons may only fire stationary Dismounted cavalrymen use the rules for the light infantry [close]

Light Infantry 6-12 Rules Always has to be in formation The maximum distance between two players is a two-men-gap May crouch May only fire in formation [close]

Riflemen 6-12 Rules May move and fire in loose formation The maximum distance between two players is a five-men-gap May crouch May fire in charge [close]

Artillery 4-15 Rules The artillery guard uses the rules for the light infantry The buildpoints will be limited to 80 points. The Arty can use up to three artillery pieces at the same time The artillery cant split up [close]

General Staff 1-3 Rules May move freely May only attack together with a friendly unit Must not fire at all A general staff contains one general and two cavalrymen [close]

General Rules

Obey the admins independently from the rules; you may complain after the linebattle Every unit needs to have an officer No firing/reloading in charge (except FiC for Skirms) No officer shooting (fire at the GenStaff is actually allowed!) Officers mustn't pick up or use any firearms except for pistols No spam / insults etc. in the public chat Use English in the public chat No ramboing If your unit strength drops below four men you have to join a friendly line (does not concern the general staff or artillery) Close Combat Rules When you enter a house/barricades/artillery fortifications you may fire in charge. When attacking a house/barricades/artillery fortifications you may also fire in charge. Attacking a house/barricades/artillery fortifications means charging it. Reloading in charge while inside a charged house/barricades/artillery fortifications is of course allowed This close combat rules do not apply while fighting in the fields.
