Definitely not for Alpha, unless we find enough time to spend on it. We do not even own a Mac, so that would be hard to test.

For the release, maybe. Unity supports it, but our own stuff, like the network engine is currently Windows only. In theory it is possible to make it work with both Linux and Mac, but it takes time and tbh. if you want to play games, get a Windows system.

...ayy, get the game how you can. ;)  Mac, Linux, or PC.  Would be cool to get compatibility for those groups.

Here's a serious question - what about SteamOS?  So for instance, if someone has the Steam console, would they be able to play this?

Please note that I am not quite familiar with SteamOS.  Thanks :)

SteamOS is basically a tweaked version of Linux with the Steam app as the main hub. So I'd reckon it falls under the other versions of Linux.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification!

Even if we could support consoles (Which we, in theory, can) I would not vote do it. Consoles should be banned.

Well, I never really had problems with the 30FPS thing.

That is fine with me, to me 30FPS and 60FPS is the same. Aslong as it is fluent its fine.
Obviously if you directly compare 30FPS and 60FPS with each other, you will notice a difference, but if it is always locked to 30FPS I do not see a problem. The game will run fluent, and everyone will run at the same Framerate which makes it MUCH easier for the Developers to optimize the game.

Anyway, that is my opinion. In BCoF we will obviously have a slider where you can choose at what FPS you want to play on (If your PC can actually reach that :P) and it will limit it to that. So if you wish to play with 60, you can. If you want to play with 45, sure why not. If you want to play with 1, sure that is possible, but why the hell would you want to do that?

Can we see BCoF become an E-Sport? I think that is what you all need to take this to the next level. Full LAN tournaments with million dollar prize pools. It will be great  ::)
Check out my YT channel where I post NW www.youtube. com/c/CluelessWill

god damn, Anthony is smart, he was able to get the shit AEF to tie with the best reg in the game. The tactical geniusness needed to pull off such a feat is insane. He's the Erwin Rommel of NW.

That would be nice :D

Though, I don't think it will be that mainstream, it is a game with long reloads and melee afterall, nothing the mainstream crowd will like...

why lock it at 60 ?

Because there is literally 0 reason to go over 60?
Most screens only have 60hz anyway.

And limiting it makes sense, so you don't get laggs.
For example, I limit my NW/Warband to 45 FPS. Not because I can't run higher, but because I can run higher. I usually run at high FPS counts, lets say 600FPS, but when it drops to 200FPS, because a whole bunch of bots just spawned in, it will start lagging. FPS is high, but it still feels like it is lagging. That is because the framedrop of 400 frames is just way to high. Anything over 3 FPS drop is noticeable in a short laggspike. To prevent that, you lock your framerate to something that is lower than what your PC can handle.
25 is the lowest you should go, anything underneath that will seem laggy, but anything higher than 30 is not really worth it either.
