Make The Doctor Male Again!

Today we found out that 13th Doctor Will Be Played By Jodie Whittaker... Are you excited for this?  I'm not...
*BTW I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE DOCTOR BEING FEMALE, I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE BBC CLEARLY TRYING TO BE PC*

What's the issue? Even if it literally is the BBC being PC, what's wrong with having a figure that girls can look up to who is a leader and sciency?
Like I get that people are put off by PC gone mad kinda stuff but this is literally just a white woman acting where white men have in the past. This is no revolution of some trans-mixed race-asexual-furry playing a character who's name may no longer be Doctor because of the strong cis-male association. How do people get so triggered about such a minor thing (not you necessarily but some people online at least)?

For some people I think they are mad about it being PC, I also do not understand it from that point. Personally, I'll give her an episode but I'm triggered because I feel the doctor's persona/personality is best played with a male actor. I don't mind the female, but the way that it will effect the portrayal of the character.
