Well no but I believe my posts are quite constructive. You asked for people's favourite battle and said it is for people with a bit more stomach, I said that I don't have a favourite battle as I don't like the formulation due to the fact that a battle just is a plain massacre where humans are blown into parts, what I have allready seen in minor scale. That's not offtopic. So why should I refrain from here?

@Howe I also love military history but this still is my opinion

Favorite battle in terms of pure shock and awe is probably Kursk. I've also been learning a bit about Chosin Reservoir and the Korean war in general. Shit's all messed up.

To be honest i do not "love" any battle. Every battle was one too much to be honest.

Don't post here then? This is for people with a bit more stomach  :)

Believe me I got a stomach. I've allready seen open throats, open stomachs and all the other ugly stuff while being with the Red Cross.  And basically because I've seen such things with "a bit more stomach" I don't like the word "love" for an action of inhuman cruel. You can post here what you want, but that's my opinion.

Why lie on the internet? You're so silly.

Well, I think he is gone lol.

I just finished the band of brothers book, the forgotten highlander and one about Arnhem, quite nice books. My mum cares for an ex-POW in Burma who worked on the railway too :^)

I think the raid on St Nazaire has to be one of my favourite actions, not least because they left from Falmouth, my fathers home town, and I can remember seeing the plaque there as a child. My favourite part has to be when HMS Campbeltown, which had crashed the gates at the beginning of the raid, was still there in the morning and hadn't exploded. The Germans all went aboard it, curious as to why the British would just crash an old ship into the gates. The British PoWs meanwhile were anxiously looking at their watches when suddenly, up it went, killing a few hundred Germans as well. I believe that is why Hitler issued an order that afterwards no Commandos were to be taken prisoner, they were all to be killed on sight.
Oh and there is also this:

My father used to play golf with a chap who was evacuated at Dunkirk. I cannot believe that the French government insisted upon sending the evacuated French troops back (120,000 off of the top of my head), it was clear they had lost.
My own Great-grandfather was in the Royal Air Force during the interwar period (enlisted 1929) and was based out in Egypt before being sent back to the UK to bomb Germany. He survived the war but he never talked about his experiences much apparently.
With Dunkirk I heard stories though that the Germans were already stretching their supply lines so even if they had not been ordered to halt it would have been very difficult to destroy the BEF and their allies before they could be evacuated, not to mention that the allied rear guard was fighting very hard.

If you guys can't handle a different opinion to your own, an internet forum isn't the best place to be. Topics on these forums don't have to be reserved for appreciation only. As long as disagreement is done in a calm and respectful manner there's nothing wrong with it. Ted's initial post was fine. If he had posted insulting you all for glorifying war, then sure, it's not helpful at all. As it is, it was just an observation of his based on his own experiences.

That being said, just move on. It's really not that hard to not get triggered by someone posting a different opinion to yours. I've removed the posts, so lets just continue the topic of discussion.

On topic:
Dunkirk was pretty incredible, so I'd probably have to go for that.

What? All evidence points to the autistic 14 year old german turkslime being the troublemaker, yet you defend him as if he's a victim. What a cuck you are. I cluck in your general direction, king of kucks. CLUCK.

He posted something that people didn't agree with. Everyone insults him.
My solution: Clean up the mess, let everyone get on with things.

Not sure I can make it any simpler than that.
