Regiments (Game Clans) / 58th New York - Polish Legion [NA]
« on: November 24, 2021, 12:53:25 am »

the above image is modified.

THE POLISH LEGION, under command of Colonel Julian Allen, are fast increasing their numbers,
and perfecting themselves in military tactics. One of the companies, mustering seventy-seven men, wearing the crimson
Lancer cap, passed our office yesterday on their way to be measured for their uniforms.  (May 1, 1861)

This is the 1erPLG's Battle Cry of Freedom.  We made this regiment 'cause Battle Cry of Freedom should be fun and we're big-dong polska mothafuckas.
We have our own unique regiment in North and south! Also hopefully soon for Battle Cry of Freedom

If you wish to join us, do it through our website or our FSE thread
We don't have dedicated recruiting for this regiment, so joining the 1erPLG will immediately tie you to this regiment.

Ingame, we use names given from a historically accurate roster of the 58th.

History of the 58th New York "The Polish Legion"

The Fifty-eighth Regiment was composed almost entirely of men of foreign birth. Various nationalities were represented in its organization, composed of Poles, Germans, Danes, Italians, Russians, and Frenchmen, most of whom were recruited in New York City. In August, 1861, Colonel Wladimir Krzyzanowski, a Polish officer who had seen service in the Polish war, was authorized by the Hon. Simon Cameron, Secretary of War, at Washington, to recruit a regiment composed primarily of Poles. It was seen as a step forward to the Polish Immigrant community that they to could play a part in putting down the Rebellion. In reality the regiment was made up of many nationalities with the Poles only being one ethnic group.

The 58th saw its first combat as apart of General Fremont's Army in the Shenandoah Valley facing the famous Confederate General Stonewall Jackson. They served a apart of the 11th Corps which was composed primarily of ethnic European "Foreign" Regiments. Many of the "Native" regiments composed of men who disliked foreigners held the 11th corps in low contempt. This coupled with unlucky situations at Chancellorsville & Gettysburg served to heighten the 11th Corp's Infamy as the worst troops in the Army of the Potomac.

After Gettysburg the 11th Corps including the 58th New York were sent out West to join General Sherman's Army. The Regiment spent the remainder of the war recuperating their heavy losses and guarding various posts in Tennessee. They were discharged upon the war's end. In closing the 58thNY served as a testament to the patriotism that Polish immigrants had patriotic loyalty to their new homeland the the resolve to make the last final measure of devotion to prove that fact, death of the battlefield.

Clans / The 327th Star Corps (Bear Force II)
« on: March 26, 2013, 03:17:31 am »
The 327th Biker Advanced Recon Commando Troopers
The troops of the 327th Star Corps were distinguished by striped yellow markings running the length of their armor and, as a result of Clone Marshal Commander Bly's ARC training, his troopers were allowed to don kamas and command pauldrons.he 327th Star Corps was deployed for the first time at the First Battle of Geonosis and remained active all the way to the last days of the Clone Wars. Jedi General Aayla Secura was assigned to the Corps after her mission to Hypori, which took place four months into the war. Due to his ARC training, Clone Marshal Commander Bly had misgivings about Secura's Jedi way of doing things, but over time he came to understand her strategies, and the two forged a close relationship.
Under the control of General Aayla Secura and Commander Bly, the 327th served as the Republic's spearhead into the Outer Rim Territories in the latter days of the Clone Wars. Their reputation was derived from the actions they engaged in on the Outer Rim, never seeing Coruscant and rarely stationed in one place for more than a week. The troopers of the 327th saw action on such diverse worlds as New Holstice, Anzat, Dromund Kaas, Honoghr, Quell, and Alzoc III.

The corps was deployed in full force during the Republic's five-month siege of Saleucami, which pitted the Jedi and their clone troopers against a massive Morgukai clone army. After the CIS forces were crushed, the 327th were deployed to the Commerce Guild purse world Felucia in an attempt to capture Presidente Shu Mai. Arriving aboard the Venator-class Star Destroyer Intrepid, the initial days of the assault saw a string of success for Bly and his troops, despite the fact that Shu Mai managed to elude capture.

As the 327th pushed through the planet's southern hemisphere, Bly received Order 66 via a top-secret channel. Order 66 branded Aayla Secura and the rest of the Jedi in command of the corps as enemies of the Republic. When Aayla was distracted by a low-flying bird, Bly and his lieutenants poured blaster fire into their Jedi General. The 327th continued to faithfully serve the Empire after its creation.
