The 61st didn't have a rifle company and apart from the buff facings they looked absolutely nothing like the 52nd. If your going to ask for a re-skin then get some actual relevant information instead of images of random vaguely similiar regiments.

+1

Seriously, don't make up you own history. If its historically inaccurate then just say it..

If you can't even put the effort in to find the uniforms of the actual 61st, why should you expect Koachi to put the effort in to make a skin for you?

Yeah good point. Just scratch my request. The regiment's defunct now anyway, and wasn't historically accurate to begin with. We were just a Rifle company which didn't exist in the actual NW wars.

Apologies to Kochi, I just wanted to get something for the regiment.

Gents, although I appreciate your enthusiasm for historical accuracy, you shouldn't have bombarded this poor fellow with historical-inaccuracy hatred.

For skin making, I don't really care making a 100% historically inaccurate one. If I wanted to, I could replace all the French troops with walking bologna sandwiches, which would have uncircumcised dicks for limbs.

I'll take skins requests that are -MAKEABLE-, not necessarily historically accurate ones. By 'makeable' I mean I should be able to make them with whatever models and materials NW already has, or that I can easily make myself. For instance, most uniforms of the Napoleonic era, some of the 1790's and a few Crimean.

You're saying this fellow posted up pictures of many different regiments that looked similar. Well, I could have done a generic, with blank laces, badges and equipment. Or even better, inventing a fully original unit, giving me more creative freedom to screw around in Paint.net and OpenBRF.

Now... where did I put that sandwich model?

I for one would like to see this. Do I make the request with the standard application form?

Superb work! If you have some spare time, could you make a 53e Régiment d'infanterie divider? A Voltigeur and Artillerie look or something like it.

Most of the uniforms were similar, but here's some reference if it helps, make sure to only use the Voltigeur tab:

Anything you can put together would be great.

Magner.

Koachi, i noticed that after i downloaded the 82nd skin that the Grenadiers lack hats. So they just show up as bald, only the Ensign and Officer have hats.

hmm... odd...
It happens to some, but not others. Idk what's with that.

Redownload the skin in a few hours. I'll update the dropbox .rar with a fix.

EDIT:

Okay... took longer than expected.

Anyway, the fix was included in the 82nd.rar download.

Could you make a 44th (East Essex) Regiment of Foot banner? I can send you any more details if needed. It would be awesome, thanks!

@Joer

Feel free to use the stuff and the skins. (Just to make things clear on why people should ask: Don't tell me, and I might delete or replace the pics after a while)

@Menelaos and Magner

I'll have your dividers done for tomorrow. That is, if I survive this night. If I fall asleep on the keyboard, it'll be on Friday.

EDIT:

Here you have two variants, Magner. Feel free to pick or keep em both.

A little note: One of my reenactment mates sent me an online copy of C.E. Franklin's British Napoleonic Uniforms book. If you need anything for reference, PM me. (Or James Grant, he has the book as well).

Comments and feedback are appreciated!

Looks like the green channel of the normal-map for the shako-plate is flipped.

Quite stylish uniforms.  Looking better than most militia anyways. Great job on the texturing.
