With Fire and Sword Death Animations in NW?
« on: July 07, 2013, 09:34:19 pm »
In WFaS, the death animations are replaced by the characters instantly becoming ragdolls and flying backwards, is there a way to make NW death animations be the same?
In theory we could do huge player numbers far over 500 players per server...  As such we will surely keep our promise to deliver you the 500 players per server.

We will probably go (far) over it, but that's for later.

You got it easy: you just need the program OpenBRF and open the files resources (for example, "mmanimations.brf) etc etc, and extract the animation deaths, and then import the file to NW mmanimations.brf file.

Hmm, after extensive experimentation involving shooting bots in custom battle I've determined that the corpses don't instantly ragdoll all of the time, sometimes they do, sometimes they use other actual death animations, which you can find in the file ani_death.brf in the CommonRes folder. What I couldn't find in that brf is an animation that is short enough (a single frame or two) that it can look like the corpse instantly ragdolls.

Can anyone that has experience with modding (I don't ::)) help out?

Maybe make a download here so everyone can use it?

That's definitely a good idea, don't want to have to buy WFaS just to use this.

Sorry for the bump, but does anyone know the download link for the WFaS animations so the bodies become ragdolls when they die?

You don't have to be rude about it.
