The Kingdom of Naples has begun a massive census of all mercenaries within the Kingdom. Mercenaries have been instructed to head to major cities in order to become registered. However this sudden movement of men has had a backlash. As more and more bodies press themselves into the cities there is less and less space to hold them. Inns are full to bursting with rowdy and rude foreign mercenaries. In the evenings these men fill the taverns and brothels of the cities spending their gold. But the alcohol is taking its effect and many nights end in massed brawls between mercenary bands. The city watches are buckling under the pressure as these brawls often end in multiple dead - (28)
Switzerland begin establish a trading empire
With the blessing of the Holy Roman Emperor the Republic of the Swiss have begun to establish the following trade routes:
- The Swiss-Austrian-Hungarian Route
- The Swiss-Venezian Route
- The Swiss-Dutch Route
- The Swiss-Burgundian-Nevers Route
- The Swiss-Genoan Route
These routes aim to spread prosperity to the nations along their paths and bring a great inflow of riches into Switzerland. However these caravans are often under guarded and there have been reports of caravans being attacked by bandits on the Swiss - Dutch Route.
