When your ears are ringing after all that dank Cannon firing
I hate it when people pass me a cup by holding on to the rim of it...

I use ear protection. Just make sure you can hear your COs.

Ear protection all the way. I don't care how small a battle is, I ALWAYS have ear protection. I value my hearing greatly, I'd like it to last me a lifetime.

After having to much powder in my rifle and shot it out of a small gap in a stronghold so I got thrown back a little and have ringing in my ears in 2014, I always put pieces of handkerchief in my ears.
(what a long sentence)

Perhaps I should look into getting some period accurate looking ear protection as well.

cloth does the trick, really. Besides, in a field and when firing in a line, you'll don't have that much need of ear protection anyway. It's the bangs from the opposition that does the damage.

Sometimes I see beautiful places and think, this would be a great battlefield/camp for Reenactment  :'(

Everytime I smell, that someone burns wood, I think that a Camp/Reenactment must be near.  ;)

When you're walking and have Napoleonic French songs and military music on your phone and keep changing your pace to the beat of the drum.

Oh yes, I can relate to this so well! I sometimes use napoleonic marches to get up this really big hill to the bus.

When people say gunpowder (when talking about firearms in history) and you instantly want to correct them into saying black powder.
