Lol

NJ Sekela got high review for his Forage Caps,

Dirty Billy is also a good place to get it.  I plan to get one of his forage cap at Gettysburg.

Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

i wonder how normal was it to have a blue cateen cover. I feel like its a bit farby bur im not really sure if they were issued or not

It seems that blue canteen covers did exist in both sky blue and dark blue. However, it is very overrepresented. The majority of canteen covers appear to have been made of a jean cloth material of either gray or brown with the majority being gray. There were also other materials used too. (Leftover scraps from various sources)

I recommend gray or brown jean cloth.

As a side note, I read that someone who inspected a lot of canteens observed that the tan covers were originally gray but changed to tan.

I have to say you look good. Just the forage cap, like you said earlier the dip is weird. But if you get a nice proper cap, you looks great then. But Im curious why do you have a frog bayonet scabbard instead of springfield scabbard? I may be mistaken in that, I trust i will leave it up to Dordak. I just commonly see Springfield scabbard all round my unit and the Brigade. (Despite the name, we mostly use enfield rifle not springfield)

I believe its an enfield scabbard. Just minutes ago I decided to switch scabbards with my dad for a normal Springfield scabbard.

One of the things I noticed is your accoutrements seem to be a little long. I would say hike those traps up a bit more. They should be about the height of your elbow with your waist belt going over the navel.

Here's a few of my WWII impressions put together.

Bonus pictures: Start them young.

Spoiler
Here I am at an airshow in the early 2000s. I wear the same helmet now! Haha! Now someone take the P-faust away from Friedrich before the backblast makes sure my future youngest brother and sister aren't born!

Now my youngest brother. He's grown so much from then and his impression has as well. He's got proper trousers and blouse as well as lowboots, however the HJ pack's straps gave out and we haven't repaired them yet.

Then my youngest sister. Such a darling, isn't she?
