Brief History The 3ème Régiment de Hussards (3rd Hussards's Regiment) was been created in 1764 and fought in many battles during the Napoleonic Wars like Iéna, Eylau, Friedland and others... At Iéna, this regiment was honored by emperor Napoleon for destroying a lot of prussians  regiments on the battlefield. They were in the massive cavalry charge at Eylau, and actually, this regiment still fight for France. Nickname "Esterhazy Houzards" Motto "Il en vaut plus d'un" - It's worth more than one Battle Honours 1805 - Elchingen, Ulm 1806 - Jena, Magdebourg, Gollup 1807 - Bartenstein, Langenheim, Hoff, Guttstadt 1808 - Tudela 1809- Calcabellos, Tanoris, Banos, Tamanies, Alba de Tormes 1810 - Ciudad-Rodrigo, Almeida, Leria,Alcoluto 1811 - Redhina, Fuentes-de-Onoro 1812 - Arapiles 1813 - Vittoria, Leipzig 1814 - Brienne, Montereau, Sevenans

Regiments / 37th (Highlanders) Regiment of Foot

37th (Highlanders) Regiment of Foot was raised in Scotland in February 1702.
During the Jacobite rebellion of 1745 -  the regiment fought at the Battle of Falkirk (1746) where it was commanded by Sir Robert Munro, 6th Baronet and later at the Battle of Culloden where it was commanded by Col. Dejean.
Initially called Meredyth's Regiment, it was ranked the 37th Highlanders in 1747. Until the year 1751 it also used the names of its seven later Colonels (including Edward Montagu) and in 1751 became formally the 37th Highlanders  , with the North Hampshire distinction being added in 1782. The regiments' battle honours include; Blenheim, Ramillies, Oudenarde, Malplaquet, Dettingen, Minden and the Peninsula Campaign.
The Regiment was merged, in 1881, with the 67th (South Hampshire) Regiment of Foot to become the Hampshire Regiment. The 37th became the 1st Battalion and the 67th became the 2nd Battalion.
