Napoleonic Wars Regimental Mercenaries[Under Construction]

This is simply a project of mine, I've seen it attempted in the past but after some time they die out. The point of this is to organize mercing so people looking for an event can get in contact with people who want more people to come to their event. Of course we have to be vigilant because Bush Pirates may intend to use this as a means of finding regiments to troll. Much of this is trust based. The regiments involved must be willing to trust the people who come to their events.

To keep trust and order in the group i have made a set of rules. If a person is in violation of ANY of these rules, they WILL be banned by a steam group officer.
1. I will follow the rules and regulations of the regiment i intend to merc for.
2. I will not use this group as means of harm to others.
3. If given moderator i will not over use the group (3 annoucements a week).

Could be interesting if it gets fully set up. One thing I'd say is to watch out for imposters. Maybe keep a private list of all members, or have a way that you can be contacted for members instead of members trying to merc on their own. Otherwise the trust could get abused.

That is my primary concern with this. For now i think its fine but as time goes on and the group gets bigger, i may implement different rules.

Interesting. Consider maybe implementing some kind of review system for the mercs. Like, after a line battle a CO could come on and post a review for other COs to read on whether the merc was trolly or rude or cool

Cool idea maybe make it so, an officer from a regiment can message one of your steam group officers and ask for however many men he needs and the steam group officer. Rounds up the number required and then they go to the event. That way one of your steam group officers can watch over the mercs and check they behave. This is also a better way of organising it so the regimental officer doesn't need to individually add people and ask them to join.
