MAKE TEN MEN FEEL LIKE A HUNDRED! IntroductionThe 66th 'Berkshire' Regiment of Foot was founded in the late stages of 2016, with the intention of forming an internationally-focused competitive regiment. Its original members came from all over NW, many old and many new, with also a large portion of those originating from the 66Pp. Through hard work and effort, ambitions were able to grow alongside the regiment itself and soon enough, the 66th was able to wedge itself into the top tier of competition. Much of this occurred thanks to a particular emphasis on melee skill, experience and development of teamwork. Co-operation was to become the focal point of the regiment. Once this basis had been established, the 66th was able to grab a well-fought first place in NWL's first league, and a high ranking placement in the RGL's first league. The regiment strives to become not only a European capital of high-tier competition, but also a hub for camaraderie and socialising, where its members enjoy many games and discussions outside of NW. All those that are interested are welcome to join, no matter their skill level, as they will find the appropriate environment within the two available companies (Centre and Grenadier). Those that wish to be trained will find the opportunity to do so. History of the RegimentThis regiment was originally raised in 1756 as the 2nd Battalion of the 19th Regiment of Foot. It became an independent unit two years later.In 1758 two of its companies were sent to garrison Senegal, while the rest of the regiment remained in England. The unit reunited in Ireland in 1763.It sailed to Jamaica in 1764, remaining there for nine years. In 1775 it moved to Ireland once again, this time for 10 years. In 1782 the regiment was given a territorial association with Berkshire. In 1785 it was deployed to St Vincent in the West Indies, but on the outbreak of the French Revolutionary Wars (1792-1802) it was moved to reinforce Gibraltar. It transferred back to the West Indies in 1796, seeing action on Saint-Domingue (now Haiti) and Jamaica. The 66th then garrisoned Canada (1799-1802), Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) (1804-14) and India (1814-17). The latter deployment included a brief stint in Nepal in 1815 during the Gurkha War (1814-16). In 1803 the regiment had raised a 2nd Battalion. This remained in Ireland until 1809, when it was sent to the Peninsular War (1807-14). Its service there included the battles of Douro (1809), Talavera (1809), Albuera (1811), Vitoria (1813),Nive (1813) and Orthes (1814). At Albuera in May 1811 it lost its Colours and all but 52 of its men. The few survivors joined with those of four other regiments to form the Provisional Battalion. This was renamed the 1st Provisional Battalion in December 1812 and finally disbanded in October 1814. padawan should replace chicken as captain, he has every ability a true leader should possess, a good voice, skill, experience & dedication. Padawan has all of these things and the only reason he wasn't allowed into team spain was cause chicken was afraid of him since he truly knew how much of a danger padawan could be to his spot.padawan is no padawan any longer, he is a MASTER now and i would be AFRAID to fight him with team NL since he can 1v10 us easily!#justice4padawan
