Baptism by Fire - Invitational, Casual Line Battle Event
The Rundown:Hello, I am the representative responsible for facilitating events for the Brandenburgische Artillerie-Brigade. Over the last few weeks we have seen a resurgence in our player base and interest in participating in formal events. However, I believe that our play style is best facilitated by hosting our own, casual, enjoyable and diverse events on a semi-regular basis. In pursuit of this goal, we have procured a server and taken the time to plan out one such event, with further events to follow should we find this formula enjoyable.
The Event:Sunday 23rd of July @1PM EST (NA and EU welcome, if you can make it with reliable numbers.)
Invitational, priority given to groups who consist of 10+ members.
Hosted on BAB Server, password distributed by Discord 1 hour before event:
https://discord.gg/Kvkzn5YDiscord will be used as the go-between for moderation, representatives must remain in discord throughout event.
Estimated run time 90-120 minutes.
30 minutes before start will be running bot survival as warm-up.
100 total slots (with some wiggle room for larger regiments)
Bonuses enabled.
Line Infantry, 1x Cavalry and 2x Artillery per team.
2x Short Gimmick Rounds (Grand Line, Grand Battery)
3x Regular Maps (3 Rounds Each)
Rules:3 Strike system - Warning, Kick, Ban
Infantry:
- NO TK
- NO RAMBO
- NO FOL
- NO FOC (Firing then Charging is fine)
- Half-Man Spacing only
- Must reload standing
- Crouching for two-ranks is acceptable
- 3 Rankers or more for a line
- No foot guard
- 1 Sapper per line
Cavalry:
- Dragoons must dismount to fire
- Dismounted cavalry must retreat to nearest line
- Less than 3, dismount
Artillery:
- Maximum of 1 Officer, 2 Trains and 2 Rankers, as many guards as can be proffered
- No Howitzers
- Grand Babtery gimmick not included here
- 2 sapper maximum
General:
- Keep chat civil
- No cheesedicking, do not exploit game mechanics
- Surrenders will be accepted, prosecuted at end round
Gimmicks:
Grand Line - Server split in half, two sides face, 2 volleys then charge.
Grand Babtery - BAB bring as many trains/cannons as possible on one side; every other regiment go foot, form line and charge in ranks.
Gimmicks will be played before start of line battle.
TKing/Dicking around during Gimmicks will lead to a kick/ban; don't do it.

We want everyone to have as much fun as possible and to create an environment for fun, interesting things to happen. That is the primary goal here, that everyone leaves having had a good time.
