Is killing musicians/surrendered people .. morally right?
« on: January 31, 2013, 11:01:54 pm »
Okay, here is a question.

Many times i see people racking up their score points (usualy cavalry are the biggest culprits), by riding around looking for easy targets either people who have surrendered or people who are afk or musicians etc.... basically somebody who isnt in a position to put up much of a fight... they will kill them.

And i ask why? why would you kill somebody who is no threat to you whatsoever?
Does it make you angry that somebody ingame wants to go musician, or to go flag bearer or sapper and not to fight? does that make you angry? why can you not accept that some people choose not to fight and like to make music or hold flags

So in short... what do you think of the `brave` people who get all their kills from musicians or sappers or people who have surrendered, because quite frankly i think anyone who kills a musician or somebody who has surrendered is a jerk  >:(

My personal policy is that if they're in the path of my sword/bayonet then they're fair game. Otherwise I'm quite happy to let people do what they do.

If they are on the enemy team they are a threat ;)

Stands to reason for the point "Enemy".

Or: It's free kills but don't prioritize them over armed players.

They take slots from people who'd actually want to play the game, they obstruct gameplay, and they are annoying as hell. I often go out of my way, especially as cavalry, to end these bastards. See it as hunting deer, it is not fair play, but it is fun nontheless.

Meh, though I have no problem with letting them go, I just can't stand it when I let someone run off, and he gets shot by one of my teammates three seconds later.

Muscians...well, I once managed to get trough a breach of 84e server (It was heavily defended and I was the first one in). One way or the other, I got behind the firing line and met a group of musicians and ensigns. I killed most of them. It was...madness...

That's what happens in siege. As defender, you are safe behind your walls...But don't expect mercy when the attackers get in.

Oh, by the way, I didn't exactly target the musicians. I just happened to clash with them.

Killing music is ok. as long as you don't kill the bagpipers.
