Will you heed to the sound of The Drums of France?
« on: December 25, 2017, 01:48:21 pm »
In 1804 Napoleon I had ordered the number of 90 of the best men in each light infantry battalion to be formed into his elite guerrilla force; the Voltiguers.

These men were chosen by both their courage in battle and their ability to fire their carbine on point compared to the rest of the regiment. The 90 men chosen were also picked out to be the Chasseurs Voltiguers; a less known battalion of elite light infantry guards used to shatter the centre enemy force and to force way for the Old, Middle and Young Guard.

Here at the newly formed 27th France hopes to call on the eagle eyes of France to take up their arms to serve under his majesty, Emperor of France-Napoleon I.

We currently are emerging slowly, and plan to agreements with other regiments to plan large scaled events. The ranking system will occur of the ranks of;

[
b]Cadet[/b]-Who will receive a two day training in both intensive bayonet fighting and firing long range speed. The Cadets will be a reserve force put back unless deemed necessary.

Private-Who shalt participate in events regularly as a man in the ranks. He shall be deployed regularly on the front lines as a soldier for the 27th and France.

Lance-Corporal-Who shalt participate in the fighting as a Private rank but will have authority over Privates and Cadets. Any man who will not listen to their superiors will be removed from the regiment.

Sergeant-Who shalt lead smaller groups of men with the command of the Captain. He has superior force over the Corporal, and the Private. Any man who will not listen to their superiors will be removed from the regiment.

Lieutenant-Who shalt lead the battalion. He will lead the battalion to his desired/and/or ordered position by his Captain. He is a superior man and anybody who will not listen will be stripped of their uniform.

Captain-Who shalt lead the regiment. He will order the chosen regiment and will command all in it.

Each line in the 27th will be one-two ranks deep and compose of 10-15 skirmishers, one Captain, one Sergeant, and one Lieutenant. It will compose of 1 flag bearer, 2 drummers and 1 fifer.

The 27th Light Foot; The normal and standard light foot of the regiment.
