good day,
You are the whole of the King's German Legion? You have reserved around seventeen different groups or units of troops? On a regimental scale for each?
Might as well reserve an army.
Well, in an army you have several Regiments, we see the KGL as an equal to a single Regiment because the KGL consists out of several battalions.
So far there have existed and still exist some KGL Battalions that call them self Regiments, which is in a historical matter not correct if you ask me. Anyway, those operate on there own, independent of us.
Before we took the action of naming ourselves KGL I talked to all officers of noteworthy KGL regiments I could find and none had any objections. We of course tolerate those already existing Regiments and do not claim ownership of their name.
The Reason why we changed from 5th KGL to KGL is apart form the historical point also that we expanded and still have plans for the future to continue to expand. And the 5th KGL being just a Line Battalion it would just look foolish having Cavalry ride under that same Battalion name.
Best Regards
Colonel Zauberfisch of the King's German Legion
