World War II Reenactment unit search
« on: November 13, 2013, 03:15:04 am »
Hello everyone

I remember not that long ago I came here asking for help with my ACW equipment search, which I'm thankful that y'all were able to help me in. Now I need another hand.

I've been hearing that a ton of people have been starting WWII reenactments in the nation. I would really, REALLY want to join up (Plus equpiment isn't overly expensive), but I run into a small dilemma. I can't find any WWII units near me.

I've checked but I can't find any in New England at all. Infact I can't even find any in the North East part one in New Jersey, and that's a ways away for me to get too.

So, while I continue my search, I ask if anyone here can give me a hand looking for a unit. I'd prefer to be allies (My Great-Grandfather and Granduncle would turn over in their graves if they saw me in a Heer uniform :P), but I don't mind going for Italy or even Japan. I'd prefer to avoid Germany due to the reason above (I'm not trying to offend any Germans reading this, if I do manage to pull that off I sincerely apologize), but I'm willing to do some Fallshrimjager reenacting.

Thanks!

I used this to find the group I joined... I'm very new too, and am still working on getting gear. Don't do Italian or Japanese, those groups are practically dead, and so few in number. Plus, I have yet to see someone who sells Italian or Japanese gear. LOTS of American and British units.

I know some who do Bersaglieri. I'm glad they're represented.

Well On the list I could see a few hundred WSS based units in NE. Don't worry, I have to sit thorugh hell to convince my grandparents that its for "Historical and Fun purposes only. Strictly Non-political etc."

looked on the site. The only things that look viable are the 3rd Rifle Division (ROOSKIES  ;D) or the 3PGD (Fascist swine  >:( ). Great site though
