DayZ is a Zombie apocalypse mod based off of the ARMA 2 engine, it requires ARMA 2 CO to run and they are currently in production of a DayZ standalone expansion for ARMA 2.

This game is legit, the situations you run into are random as hell and even sometimes you run into a friendly person which enhances the game.

Haha Augy, that gauntlet in the first video happened to my friends! They were kidnapped and forced to fight to the death! I love DayZ, I've been playing it a lot recently with my mates and I'm doing quite well. I had a character that was alive for 126 days with everything you'd ever need or want and he was killed by a hacker. But I'm on day 6 now and I have just as much stuff so it's all good.

The best one is when there is roughly 10 people all meeting up at the NW airfield on a night time server. lets just say there was some friendly fire incidents and some mad people that spawned back at the coast. :D

Are there any SP games like DayZ? I'm not a huge fan of the multiplayer do-not-trust-anyone kinda game, I love the stealth and eating and drinking aspects however. Quite great.

I play a DayZ RP server which has no Kill on Sight rules which makes everyone a lot more friendly unless you bump into a big bandit clan who would rather rob you. Check it out www.dayzrp.com.
