Help for arty trainning
« on: April 13, 2017, 06:40:02 pm »
I have been making a training map for my regiment but got into some trouble:

What should you set up for the arty to shoot at?
You can't use dummies nor normal archery targets as the cannon balls fly straight thru...

Some help would be appreciated

Usually buildings or walls that destructible.  I would also suggest setting dummys that can be knocked over into a line to practice shooting an enemy line.  Maybe throw in some hills and have the dummys around an arty position idk you kinda have to think what would arty be used for and than apply that knowledge to the map.

IF you cant use dummys than still use them you dont need to see damage done you just need the accuracy.

Usually you don't put cannons in pieces.  You put the single cannon for instance whatever the object is for a 12 pound cannon you put that down.  If you put it in pieces you make more work for yourself. On top of that when you exit the map you have to actually save the map by ctrl e or whatever it is when it asks do you want to save it.  Than you have to restart the map by reselecting it.  If it doesn't fix it pm on here.
