Less highs in random maps?
« on: February 06, 2017, 05:55:09 pm »
Hello guys, I want to know if there is any way to modify the scenes.txt in order to get less hill highs in the random generated maps, I mean, I want flat maps with few hills. A great part of the random maps are totally unplayable.

Cheers

Just realised you've already seen it but I'm leaving it here :P
Working on headers in NW is like working on formula 1 2016 engines for 2017.

yep, already in use, but sometimes it gets annoying to be replacing maps for one thing that could be done just pressing a button

Unfortunately, it's just what the Warband engine does. Because it doesn't have a reference point (the Calradia map in SP) it rolls the dice on maps and you end up with maps straight out of Tolkien.

It's annoying but it follows the same problem with linebattles in of itself. Warband wasn't built to handle 200 projectiles flying around a MP map to begin with. It's why siege lags so hard.

Even with all of it's faults though, it's minor considering how much mileage they've gotten out of a simple engine.
