Double-posting...again.

A little FYI
During the army reformation of 1806, the main uniform colour of the Kingdom of Holland was changed from dark blue to white, to be dinstinguished from their French allies. The coat consisted of a closed up short coat with half long tails, with each regiment having it's own facings colour. A total of 9 nine regiments of line infantry were raised, each facings colour can be seen here. Red was an important colour in the army of the Kingdom of Holland, it was a royal colour, comparable to blue in the United Kingdom. The Royal Guard Grenadiers, who would later become the 3rd Grenadier Regiment of the Old Guard, also wore Red. The 3rd Line Infantry Regiment was outfitted with the standard issue white-coat with red facings, cuffs and collars. They used French style shakos with a white shakocords, a plume near the side in the colour of the facings and a silver coloured "3" on their shako. Officers had gold coloured shakocords and a large white plume.

The regiment was first deployed to germany untill 1809, when the British launched an invasion of the Walcheren area in the southwest of the Netherlands. The 3rd, along with most of the army was send in to repel the invasion. Al though the army couldn't stop the British, the campaign was still a victory. An unkown disease killed thousands of British soldiers before they even saw battle and forced them to abondon the campaign after only 6 months. Nevertheless, Napoleon was furious about the fact that the British still managed to land in Walcherne in the first place. A year later, the Kingdom of Holland would be annexed and the army incorporated into the French army. After Napoleon's defeat in 1814 and exile to Elba, most of the soldiers returned home and some even rejoined the army to fight at Waterloo under the new Army of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands.

I'm proud to present my third skin, a representation of the 3rd Line Infantry Regiment of the Kingdom of Holland during the Walcheren campaign of 1809. This skin took me a lot longer than any other skin so far and I'm quite pleased by the results, especially with the tails of the coat. This skin will replace the 45e on France, several people asked me about the possibility of replacing other nations, I might look into that at a later date but not now. Please keep in mind this skin does not have any custom flags as of now, I couldn't find any info on them and I'd rather do it good or not at all.

Great skin! Does it work in combination with the other skins you made? And about suggestions for your next one, Does it need to be Kingdom of Holland / Batavian republic or can it also be 1815 uniforms?

1. No, as of now it won't. I will make a compatible version later this week.

2. It can be anything Dutch from 1795-1815, so go right ahead.

Replacing French units is easier and more realistic, because the Dutch for most of their time used French equipment and muskets.

I might actually replace either Austria or Britain for a new 1815-era skin, considering their equipment drastically changed after 1813 because they joined the allies. I'm not sure which unit though, might actually give the 27de a shot.
