What is "Spam" in Melee?

Well, I participated in many discussions about the definition of the noun of "Spam in Melee", and we never got to an conclusion what spam really means or?
So i did this post to ask you guys about your own Defintion of the noun "Spam in Melee" (a.e.: I think spamming is straight spam ur left mouse button but still block a few times) something like this.
Would be nice if we can get this sorted out

For me spamm means, when some 1 is just stabbing you while he is not in a possition to stab you our try to stab you.
Like for instance, when you see him stabbing before you did anything then your first reaction is I cant be faster then him so I block. This is under condition as (normal stabs)

I understand when people know your style so they outhink you with being 1 stap infront of you. example when your opponent knows you are going to hold the next stab you just stab and take the risk that he will hold, if not you got to be lucky that he will poke you or miss you.

So again. Spamming for me is when people stab you while they are not even in a position to stab you, as we all got the same speed.

I know my english aint the best but at the same time I hope that you guys understand it

If you want to be technical about it: "Spam" can be defined as using the same attack direction multiple times. Left hand swing, left hand swing. Down thrust, down thrust, down thrust. Also it is notable that spamming can consist of attacking as quickly as possible even when out of range. Which can be considered as reckless and impatient if you have no regard for timing.

I try to use different attack directions when appropriate. But sometimes when you're hacking away at bots in singleplayer, you just want to repeatedly bash an enemy's shield until it breaks.
