Correct me if I'm wrong MM Didn't have a single player at any point. Vincenzo specifically said and uploaded materials for a single player version of the game to FSE although nobody ever took it up because of L'Aigle.

Yes that is true about Vincenzo. But I thought there was one Prussia that had something. Wait. Let me find it. If I find it I'll post it here. If I don't it must be some kind of other failed mod by some scrub.

There were loads of them. MM never had a SP. It was a multiplayer beta. Might as well call it a beta of NW which it basically was.

Cheers.

Who else remembers the old 84e conquest? You used to have that artillery train map which Friedrich put a wheat field in the centre. One long big strip which eventually had bridges and buildings put in when MM released.

Or better yet the Amsterdam conquest. Fantastic. 84e siege, conquest and also the waterloo events were by far my highlights off MM.

Kronox it was a mod... doesn't mean that if you would have clicked 'Start new game' it would have actually started one.

BUT IT WORKED!

Back when the devs of the GAME ACTUALLY HOSTED EVENTS. The summer events were glorious, everyone was in the same teamspeak, giant 200+ man events. Generals on both sides, arty on both sides, multiple cav regiments. Musicians, i remember seeing vincenzo playing as a flutist a lot. When people surrendered they were given proper executions, with a line formed up to volley them and the officer swung their sword down with the execution volley.

Tell me when was the last time you saw a proper execution in an event? Its been for me at least 4 years. Very sad indeed that a lot of the charm of the game is gone.

I remember that, much long ago, surrendering wasn't as common nevertheless as people were told to fight to the death but it happened.
I hate it when people pass me a cup by holding on to the rim of it...
