How do you record reenactments in first person?
« on: March 25, 2013, 07:51:58 am »
I have seen many "Shacko" cam videos on youtube of reenactments filmed in the first person usually done in a Secretariat manner, Example would be this s.
Im planning on possibly wearing a hardee with the left side pinned up and a camera of some mind tucked in.

Does anybody have any experience in this? what would be a good way to set it up,what would be a good camera (I think the normal iphone coudl do it) and any tips on hor to set it up would be appreciated.

Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Menelaos, the link works if you remove the space between the Y and s at the end.

I wanted to post a clip of the episode of the Simpsons where Homer is spying on the Kwik-E-Mart with that huge camera hat, but I couldn't find one, so just pretend I did.

(Imagines it) Haha, very funny.

If you do do this, make sure that the camera is not visible from all possible angles or it may look a little bit strange and out of place.

I'm not in a reenactment company (I do plan on joining one ASAP), but what I'd do is get a McDowwel cap and cut a small hole in it, then fasten a small camera to it. It'd be visible from the front though, so the progessives may get a wee ticked.

Say it's for a movie or educational thingy and they won't mind as much. Hell, tell the security it's for local news and they will let you enter the battlefield with no problem.

Some bad personal experience had lead to this statement.  :-\

Pen, paper, write verbose diary entries, and publish online.

What's this camera you speak of?  ;)

You could try wearing these glasses in the battle. Just go to the rear rank  and record that.

Eh, too modern. They only allow glasses if they're spectacles.
