Hello, lights availables ?

How many would you bring? technically both Lights spots are taken but if two regs equalled around 15 lights that shouldn't be an issue.

Still a couple of Line spots available for tonight's Event!

Spoiler
Next Event - 18:45 GMT on Wednesday 4th October!

Where - 33rd_Waterloo_Event

On the 16th June it becomes apparent to the Allied Armies under Marshal Blucher and Wellington that Napoleon has siezed the initative and entered Belgium. The French succeed in splitting the Allied forces, holding them in place at the Battles of Quatres Bras and Ligny. The Allies both withdraw, hoping to reunite and defeat the french wherever possible; on this understanding Wellington takes a stand at the field of Waterloo; He holds a strong defensive position on the reverse slope of the Mont St Jeane ridge, with the farmhouses of Hougoumont on his left, La Haye Sainte in his center and Papelotte on his right to anchor his defensive line in place. With both Armies awaiting battle the night before the 18th June, the stakes could not be higher...

The Battle of Waterloo was pivitol in everyway, shaping Europe for the next 100 years. Therefore to do the Battle as much justice as possible each round will represent a different key part of the battle, to better illustrate how events unfolded.

Please note that this Event will be replacing our Wednesday Conquest Event for this date only, our usual Conquest will continue to take place after this date.

Regardless of Ney's misinterpretation of the events, the thundering hooves of the best cavalry France has to offer may prove enough to hammer Wellingtons centre into submission.[/i]

Where - 33rd_Revolutionary_War_Event

The Emperor Napoleons' Rise to power was set against the backdrop of the French revolutionary wars, where any man who showed his worth and skill could gain rank and power in the newly forged French Republic. Through his mechanisations at Toulon, steadfast bravery in Paris and his military superiority on the fields of Italy, the 'Little Corporal' would make a name for himself - paving the way for his future as Emperor of the First French Empire.

Please note that this Event will be replacing our Wednesday Conquest Event for this date only, our usual Conquest will continue to take place after this date.

Event Stages:

Stage 1 - Siege of Toulon - Siege (10mins)
Spoiler
Classes - Lines and Lights
Admin Controlled to start, then Normal Siege
Toulon was an important town as it is on the Mediterranean coast and has easy sea access towards land. It was important for the French republic since losing that town would me that the Republic could fall and there would be no second thoughts about even fighting the British at the sea. The life of the Republic was at stake! After the last Jacobins were kicked from the city, it became the property of the young Louis XVII thus giving access to the British to land. If the revolutionaries were not to take the city, the revolution would be useless and all of it's beliefs could be crushed. In the midst of the revolution, a young artillery general was appointed and it was his first mission and priority to overcome this fort.

The Republicans decide to take action and have appointed the young artillery officer to defeat the Royalists. After Waterloo we'll be going back to the earliest scenario we have - The Revolutionary wars covering from 1793 at Toulon up to 1796 and the first Italian campaign.

As usual feel free to apply here for the Event, to be first in line once we have heard back from our weekly Conquest Event sign-ups!
