Vestigia Nulla Restorsum - We Do Not Retreat.
The or 5th Dragoon Guards, or also known under its monogram 'V.D.G', is an Australian / Oceanic-based cavalry regiment of the line formed in 1685 historically. Ourselves, we were formed approximately 4 months ago. Historically, the regiment fought with great distinction in the Napoleonic Wars; mostly renown for their action during the Battle of Salamanca, where under the command of John Le Marchent; and later that day when he fell in battle; William Ponsonby, that regiment claimed the death and destruction of several French regiments, simply because they waited to the opportunistic moment to strike.
We have a proud tradition of defending and supporting other regiments in battle; and follow in the history of Ponsonby and Marchant by waiting for the opportunistic moment.
Because we hone as a specialist regiment, we do train regularly but our style of command and structure varies to that of other regiments. For the best insight into our regiment, we recommend you come join us for a line battle to see if you enjoy playing with us, so add

As you can see from our ranks, we are quite different to your standard infantry regiment you might join. Almost every aspect of our regiment is different, including the speed at which we fight. Ranks, reward system, discipline system and our tactics and strategies are totally different. Because we are cavalry, the pitch and speed of battle is often much faster paced than your standard infantry regiment.
We also have some great award systems in place for those who perform well in our regiment, making ours a competitive, fun and action-packed regiment. If you are up for this, and are able to focus and fight at a much more intense pace of battle than infantry do, then being a Cavalrymen in the 5th Dragoon Guards is for you.
"We Do Not Retreat." - 5th Dragoon Guards motto.
