Do you honestly not see my point? How can kids get away with murder but get life banned in a video game for a much lesser crime. Its a comparison to show how ridiculous valve is with their punishment. Obviously throwing in a video game has no relation to murder.

I see your point, but the comparison is a bit absurd.

Why doesn't Valve communicate more openly about these kinds of issues with the player base? Anybody know?

Apparently Thorin assembled like a council of 12 top tier pros and offered to liaison with Valve for free but they just refused

Valve main's problem and critism is their total lack of connection towards their scene, they make important decisions and changes based on questionable opinions, lack of transparancy and seem to refuse to work differently despite numerous and important actors of the scene telling them to. I'm not saying all they do is wrong or bad, cause it's far from being the case, but I believe acting like only their opinions matter, without giving two f*** about the scene, might cause their ruin, sooner or later.
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often.

I mean it would be somewhat beneficial for the iBP players to be unbanned especially for the NA scene which has a lack of skilled players. Valve either is disconnected from it's audience of completely braindead.

To my eyes its just the way they have always been acting, they're just used to it, and with money from skins and such, they know they have an important fanbase which will always follow the game and pro scene no matter what.

I love CS, I follow the pro scene, the several actors (outside the players) working to make it look as amazing as possible, but I've honestly lost respect and faith in Valve for quite a good time, and I think a lot of players, casual or try-harder, have been too.

As for iBP, we don't know what will happen in the next months or years, might just be a matter of time. Also a clarification, it was the ESL's decision to unban KQLY, not Valve's one.

I mean two years is a lot of time in the professional scene so I'd agree that KQLY's unban was justified, there was also never any proof that KQLY cheated in a tournament.

Well, one is a video game. And one is life. You know, the thing that spans for possibly a hundred years
