19te Prussian Infantry

About Us
We (veterans, newcomers, and casual players alike) have formed this regiment to create a respectful, fun, and entertaining environment in which players can enjoy while playing Mount and Blade: Napoleonic Wars. We enjoy the use of teamwork and tactics, whether it be in a line battle or just casually on a server. We have created a meaningful rank structure, while not going overboard, and promote the use of more historical, line-like tactics.  We also use our Artillery and Cavalry detachments to increase our effectiveness as an elite fighting force. Regiments were created for line battles, and we shall do our part to participate, compete, and have fun - respectfully.

As we were formed in April 2011, we boast a few years of experience, creating a regiment that is anything but average. We are always welcoming to new players, even more so - anyone with the same attitude and ideals as us will no doubt find a great home here. Advancement in the regiment is most certainly possible - even into our ranks of officers. We have no set limit for our officers - instead we promote those with the abilities to lead in and out of the game, and who have put the time and dedication into our community. Every member is a respected addition to our community, and we will always do what we can to assist them.

As a Community
On top of having a great time playing NW/MM, we offer a wide range of games in which many members often play. As our members live in differing timezones, its very easy to find someone online to play a game with. Whether it be NW, Arma, CS:GO, or cRPG, the list of games in which we play is always changing! We encourage people who are members, prospective members, or even public players who want to join us in a different game to contact one of our officers as well for more information.

Joining
The steps to becoming a part of this regiment are simple. First it is always a good idea to read the rules. Once you have done that, take a step back and make a decision to see if this regiment is the right one for you. If you are a respectable and mature player who enjoys a casual, yet competitive environment, then the answer is probably yes and you will find an application feature on our website (http://19te.enjin.com/). Lastly if you have any questions or just wish to play a little bit with us before you make a decision, add one of our Recruiting Liaisons (shown below) on Steam.

Recruiting Liasons

US/Canada
19te_Hptm_Patriot- (eX_Patriot)
19te_Fw_Shadow - (19te Shadow)
19te_Fw_Ryan - (ryan9890)
19te_Uffz_Moldplayer - (moldy)

EU
19te_Pfd_Lt_Roble - (Roble)

AUS/Oceania
19te_Pfd_Lt_Aussie - (19te_Aussie)

Also keep in mind that recruitment is not based on skill, we gladly accept both experienced/skillful and new players who meet our standards. We do however require that you have at least a basic understanding of English, are respectful to others both outside and inside the regiment, and use common sense.

Tired of Just Playing in the Line?
We often play other roles in linebattles, such as Artillery or Cavalry. We do have ranks within our system for Artillery and Cavalry roles, although we do not necessarily call it an attachment. Everyone is always an Infantrymen first, but may have a rank for either Cavalry or Artillery - to help us determine who to pick for the occasion. The rank is an application on our forums and is essentially a "first dibs" on the role whenever we play it. However the highest tiered officer reserves the right to pick who may play the role and who may not - that way if a new player wish to try a few things it may be accommodated.

Teamspeak and Website
We currently use the Prussian Army* (Tuesday/Friday NA Public Linebattle) Teamspeak. The server address is "192.223.28.140".
Hop in to socialize, or play some games with the gang!

Also, since some conversations are not suited for public forums, here is ours: http://19te.enjin.com/home
You will also find a massive collection of videos and screenshots from some of our very soldiers! Here is the direct link to the Media portion on the website: http://19te.enjin.com/media

Here is the link directly to the 19te Prussian Infantry Regiment Youtube!: http://www.youtube.com/user/19teprussian

* The Prussian Army is a small community of many regiments banded together to work cooperatively in and out of linebattles. The PA runs many servers for multiple games as well as our teamspeak. Games including, but not limited to, Warband(in general!), Arma2, and Minecraft. If we find our community(PA) desires a server for another game, contact Gunny(from 1stEPI) or myself.

Requirements

1.   Members will be respectful at all times. This means getting along with every player - public or not. We do not tolerate discrimination or malicious insults. If you are to have an argument, do it in a respectful and professional manner. We will take pride in our public image and will remove any who choose to stain it.

2.   Members will always play fair and respectfully. We do not tolerate actions such as cheating, dragging rounds out, fake surrendering, and Teamkilling. Teamkilling is forbidden in every form except a genuine accident. This means keeping a level head in public chat as well, if you wish to have an argument do it through steam or other chat programs.

3.   Members will follow orders when they are given, by officers and Admins alike. We do not have time to listen what you think is best after the orders are given. Instead, remember it or write it down, we will have a time and place for suggestions. If you are instructed by an Admin to do anything, you will abide.

4.   Members are required to use TeamSpeak for Trainings and Linebattles(English only during events). We also encourage the use of TeamSpeak for any games you might be playing, however we also understand if you would like to just play alone.

If you can, let someone know if you will not be able to play for an extended amount of time. We understand everyone has a life and you will find that phrase tends to be our motto. But we would also like to know if you've quit, abandoned, or went on vacation, else you might get removed on the roster. Notifying someone or posting in the forums is a great way to let us know you won't be back for a while!

Ranks Explained

Spoiler
(Rkt):  Rekrut is the entry position of the regiment, the member has officially pass the trial/acceptance stage into joining the ranks.  He/she is permitted to wear our tags and will be promoted to Soldat when they demonstrate a good understanding of our formations and regiment as a whole.

(Sdt): Soldat is the first ‘real’ rank of the regiment. Soldats are members who have successfully passed the trial  period and understand formations. They are an official soldier of the regiment who are well known by a majority of the regiment.

(Gmr): Gemeiner is used to classify exceptional Soldats who have progressed through their learning and have begun taking a greater understanding of the regiment, how the ranks work together, and understand the more complex formations. They are not yet material for Gefreiter. However, they are well on their way.

(Gfr): Gefreiter is a rank used to classify our experienced members. They are soldiers who rarely falter and demonstrate a flawless understanding of current formations and orders. They are soldiers others can look up to and depend on should they need help learning formations.

(Ofr): Obergefreiter is a rank used to classify the most experienced members. They are the perfect soldier, conducting themselves without flaws, they give the perfect example of the newer members on how to fight and act. This is a prestige rank and only those who have proven themselves worthy will be considered.

(Uffz): Unteroffiziers are the first administrative rank of the regiment. They ensure that lower ranking members are following orders, following conduct, and maintaining discipline. Unteroffiziers have the ability to give orders and command in times of a superior’s absence.  They are a sort of officer of the regiment, who can answer questions or help you with problems should someone need assistance.

(Fw): Feldwebel is the next step into the officer ranks, while most of the officers work to complete similar tasks. Feldwebels are also leaders in and out of game, they are trusted officers of the regiment who may handle unruly or ill-disciplined members. (In Example: They will remove trolls from our ranks and teamspeak should they find them)

(Lt): Leutnants are your high tier leaders, the most trusted officers. They will handle administrative duties such as line battles, website management, and relations should problems arise somewhere.

(Olt): Oberleutnant is the leading leutnant if you will. He is not so much the second in command as he is the chosen leutnant to guide the rest. Your Oberleutnant is a well respected officer whom will work side-by-side with the Hauptmann to make decisions and deliver actions.

(Hptm): The leader of the regiment, who ultimately has the final say and runs the show. (Although the other officers help greatly in decisions and actions, it is not a dictatorship position)

Application
We no longer do applications in our topic posts, however if you would like to visit our website we have an excellent system over there. Any questions you have will be swiftly answered on the application section of our website. Furthermore on the website you can find countdown timers to events, friendly conversations, and tons of other things we use to manage the regiment. It is a great place with many tools and our official roster.

If you are interested in joining you will need to register an enjin account on the website (if you have one already you can just log in). You will find a "Join Here" tab at the top of the website just below our banner, click that and fill out the application and submit. We will be instantly notified upon its submission and providing we are not busy, we can take a good look at it. Remember to provide as much information in the application as possible, with more information it is easier to understand what you are looking for as a player.

[as of Dec. 15, 2012] After your application has been evaluated, the officer corps will keep track of the events you've participated in. You can see the applicant list with the event number in the "Officer and Help" Teamspeak channel.  After 7 events, you will be evaluated based on your performance and personality, and the officer corps will make a decision.*
